SHIPPING

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

  • I usually ship everything out on Friday’s, but sometimes pieces will ship a little later than that. Items such as measuring spoons or custom requests will ship once they have been fabricated (please be sure to read the description of each item before purchasing). All orders within the Continental US are shipped via UPS and will be wrapped with the utmost care! I insure each package, so please let me know if your item arrives damaged! I will do everything in my power to rectify the situation. International shipping can take longer due to customs and various other postal concerns.

Can you ship internationally?

  • Because Covid-19 has turned the shipping world upside down, I am only able to within the US and to Canada for the time being.

CHICAGO PICKUP

Can I pickup my work from your studio?

  • Yes! Once you are ready to check out on my site you can select “Chicago Pickup” to waive the shipping fees. If you are not in the Chicagoland area this option is not available for you. Once your items are ready I will email you a link to my booking site so that you can set up a time to grab your order. Due to the Global Pandemic all pickups are contactless and will be ready for you in the lobby of my building with your name on it.

But I want to see your studio and chat with you for a while…is that possible?

  • My studio is a working studio and is only open to the public during studio sales and during workshops…those are great times for you to see the space!

RETURNS

What is your return policy?

  • All items are made by me in my Chicago studio. Refunds and exchanges aren’t typically offered unless the item is damaged during shipping, or if it just doesn’t quite fit what you were hoping for. Please contact me if this is the case and I will do my best to fix it!

CARE

Wooden cutting boards and utensils are an essential part of any chefs kitchen.  Depending on how often these tools are used, a salve or oil can help prolong their life.  Some prefer to oil their pieces every two weeks, while others wait to do so once a year.  I would suggest the once a month rule, or just go by looks!  If the wood begins to look dry, a simple dab can bring the piece you love back to life.

Please avoid all vegetable, canola, and olive oils due to the fact that these oils can go rancid after a while.

Other Concerns

YOUR SHOP IS CURRENTLY SOLD OUT...HOW DO I PURCHASE YOUR WORK?

  • Shop updates are typically done once or twice a month, and are announced on Instagram, as well as in the announcement bar above. Each update sells quickly so act fast! Follow me on Instagram to know exact times and dates.

I’VE SEEN YOUR WORK ON BLOGS, IN SOME FOOD STYLISTS FEEDS AND WOULD LIKE TO WORK WITH YOU AS WELL.  HOW DO I GO ABOUT THAT?

  • Most of the time when you see my work on a food stylist's social media account it is because they have purchased the work. I no longer do “photo collaborations” with bloggers. Please email hey@facturegoods.com if you have questions about this!

DOES PUTTING MY ITEM IN THE CART HOLD THAT ITEM FOR ME?

  • No it does not. You must complete the purchase in order to get the item you want. If you put an item in the cart and walk away...someone may buy the piece causing in error when you check out. The best way to go about ordering one of a kind pieces is to buy the pieces that you really want first, then go back in and order any other pieces that you were interested in! I will refund you the difference in shipping no problem.

  • I do accept PayPal so if you already have your shipping information saved there you can checkout very fast!
