fac·ture [fak-cher]  - noun

1. the act, process, or manner of making anything; construction.

2. the thing made.

Facture began while watching terrible reality television during a midwestern winter storm.

My name is Aron Fischer, creator of Facture.  I am a fourth generation maker, tinkerer, woodworker and artist.  I grew up watching my family turn spindles on a rickety homemade lathe in our barn, eating deliciously rustic homegrown meals, and growing anything and everything you can imagine in the family garden.  These past experiences have fueled my insatiable hunger for functional, well made wares.

Jessy Young & Jacob Davis:

We went on our first date 9 years ago. I had just gotten out of a long term relationship and wasn’t quite ready to get back out there but hesitantly went on the date anyway. He could tell by the end of the date that I just wasn’t ready. So we stayed friends for the next 7 years. Our birthdays are a day apart in December so at the very least we always would wish each other happy birthday and catch up. We were both finally single and in a good place three years and we reconnected for drinks to catch up. We missed our dinner reservation because we were lost in conversation. We have spent every weekend together since then  We got engaged on December 1st of 2017. Jacob has always made my birthday the forefront of our celebrations even though his birthday is the day before mine (his is Dec 7th and mine is the 8th) so this year I decided I would throw him a surprise birthday party. After weeks of planning and perfection the surprise, the day had come. I told him we were going to a friend’s house for drinks before we went out for dinner, we arrived to all of our friends and family yelling surprise and he genuinely seemed shocked. I was arrogantly proud of myself for pulling it off. Little did I know, he knew about the whole thing. We gathered everyone around my Bob’s Burgers themed cupcakes an hour into the party to sing. He gave a nice little speech and then said “I’m so thankful to have all of you here to celebrate with me, Jessy I love you and only one thing would make this night better…” and he hit the knee! I was FLOORED! I thought I had finally surprised him and once again he made his celebration about me. I love this man and we cannot wait to marry each other!
